Adamo and Vicci are dance instructors, organisers, choreographers and DJs specialising in blues dance. They started their blues dancing journey together in London, where they nurtured and grew the blues dance scene, setting up two weekly blues dance events plus a monthly live music event. They created Europe’s first blues dance performance troupe, The Down and Outs, are co-organisers of Espanish Blues Festival in Madrid, and organisers of Bluesology Teacher Training in Valencia, Spain.

They have an incredible chemistry on the dance floor. Their passion for both blues music and dance is evident in their inspiring classes, giving dynamic and energetic lessons with a focus on honouring the history of the blues and the African American culture from which it came. Both trained teachers, they strive to bring out and improve dancers technique, confidence, creativity, communication skills, and understanding of the music.

ILARIA & NICK

Nick and Ilaria are a cool London based blues dance duo. They love the way that blues celebrates human nature and is able to bring people together by giving them a medium to express their true selves.

Ilaria is a caring teacher who encourages personal expression by not only explaining fundamental
techniques to her students, but also providing the tools to let people connect to different partners and forms of blues music.

Nick is a science teacher by day and dance teacher by night. He loves finding out exactly how things work
which means he is perfectly poised to break down techniques and moves in a simple and logical manner.

During the last 5 years, Nick and Ilaria greatly contributed to the London blues scene, teaching and
performing with the Down & Outs Troupe. They are well known as regulars on the European blues circuit, bringing energy to the social floors, winning competitions and performing. They have also taught at over 20 international festivals all over Europe, from St. Petersburg to Valencia. More recently they have begun to experience the American dance floors, expanding their knowledge of the blues as a musical representation of the African American culture.
“We believe everyone should experience blues dancing, giving yourself to the incredible music so you can
express all aspects of your character!”

MELANIE & ALBERT

Melanie and Albert started dancing Blues together in Barcelona.

Their passion for blues led them to a brave decision: to create a blues community in their home town La Garriga. Now they give classes and organize their own Blues Festival "Low & Slow" there.

And the community of blues dancers in the area “Garriga Power & Friends” are friendly and welcoming, reflecting in fact what they are!

Since then, they play his music - a mix of Blues, Funk and Rhythm and Blues - in festival, theaters and pubs. LINDA VALORI

Linda Valori can sing anything with flair and grace. She’s gifted with great range, a gorgeous sound and precise, yet fluid delivery. She also has another special quality that can’t be learned: A truly soulful sensibility. Though she’s sung pop, opera and jazz, Valori’s true loves are the blues and pure R&B - not the heavily produced style that now dominates urban radio, but the classic treasure trove of the past 70 years that’s influenced the core of all popular music.

These musical preferences might seem strange for a native Italian, but Valori doesn’t see anything unusual about it. “It wasn’t me who chose to sing the blues,” Valori maintains. “The blues chose me! It has always been so natural. I tried a lot of other genres, but blues and R&B have always been my first love; they have always been a part of me.”

For Linda, there’s no question that whatever she sings, she’s going to reach out and find the blues that exist there, and it doesn’t matter where she’s doing it, or who her audience is…. Anyone who loves music and the blues will immediately hear that Linda Valori sings with high energy and real passion. She’s not imitating anyone - the blues and R&B are as much the songs of her life as that of any American blues artist. Linda Valori is the real deal…
